The Harps Lotto jackpot, now £4100, was not won on Sunday night. The numbers drawn were 2, 10, 17 and 26. £20 each went to Lorraine Gilroy, Boho, Cathal Jones, Boho, both were online players. The other £20 went to Paula McGlone, Boho. The draw next week will be held live at 10pm. We were very pleased with the amount of online entries in the Lotto, which is safest at present. However, we do acknowledge that some of our promoters prefer to use envelopes. We can enter them in the draw, and they can be deposited in special boxes in local shops. However, we are not asking shops to sell lottos at present as this would not be in keeping with requirements around social distancing, and not congregating. Anyone who wishes to get bundles of Lottos can do so from those shops, take the sealed bundles home, and return them later in the week. Anyone with any queries on this matter can contact Ruairi Dundas or Brendy Rasdale. Thank you to all who support and promote the Lotto.
The situation for our club and clubs everywhere remains unchanged due to the Covid-19 virus risks. Our grounds are closed to all members, and obviously our playing activities have been called off for the medium term anyway. Some people may have read the words of the GAA President weeks ago on this matter as a signal that there would be no activities this year, but in fairness, he stated clearly that the GAA would be guided by scientific advice. At present the advice is to stay away from our pitch based activities, but in the months ahead, that advice may and hopefully will change.

As part of the Healthy Clubs initiative, the GAA has launched a challenge to get members healthy and moving at this unusual time: the Steps Challenge.  All we have to do to win a €2500 O’Neills voucher is get walking or running and record our steps on the MyLife App. We are asking that as many people as possible to give the Harps a chance to win. It’ll hopefully create a wee bit of that competition that a few of us are missing!  Details on how to get involved: download the MyLife app from the App store or Google Play store, register your details, tap on the social tab on the MyLife app, select challenges, negotiate your way to Ulster, then Derrygonnelly Harps and get walking!

The Harps members are part of a community wide response to the ongoing covid-19 situation. A number of volunteers are available to deliver any help that might be necessary to people in the Boho, Springfield, Monea, Derrygonnelly and Churchill areas. The contact numbers to access any assistance have been widely circulated, and we are grateful to everyone locally who has been working hard to put the necessary structures in place. The community contacts are Eadaoin Love on 07799148196, Gillian Rutherford on 07766251748, John McGovern on 07764615695, Norma Ferguson on 07793979870, Michelle McCauley on 07713351687 and David Bailey on 07974221331.
