Harps Notes 29th April 2019

posted 29 Apr 2019, 06:16 by Derrygonnelly Harps

The Harps Lotto jackpot, now £6300, was not won on Sunday night. The numbers drawn were 3, 13, 14 & 25. £20 each went to Pat and Gertie McGurn, Boho, Faber Leonard, Derrygonnelly, and Patrick McGurn, Boho. We are in Old Pals this Sunday night, with Gavin Duffy, John Murphy and Mary Cox as Maor Foirne.

Our Under 15 and 14 footballers had a busy week, with our Under 15s taking a good win against Belcoo last Thursday night, and our Under 14s competing well up in the Feile on Sunday at Kinawley. Thanks very much to the team management for giving up their time for a long shift on Sunday in particular. Kinawley also did a great job hosting the event. Our Under 15s are away to Derrylin on Sunday afternoon, and our Under 11s are at home to Kinawley on Saturday evening.

Best wishes to Fermanagh Ladies in the NFL 4 final this Saturday against Antrim, especially to those from our own club who are involved as players and mentors. The game is at 2pm in Clones, and it would be great to see a strong support for them. Our Ladies had a solid win against Enniskillen in the nine-a-side competition on Sunday evening. Our Under 16 girls played a challenge game last week, and have one more game as their league comes to a conclusion. The Under 14 girls’ Feile is hopefully rescheduled for this weekend as well.

Our seniors had a reasonable weekend, involved in two exciting ties and picking up three points. They are away to Erne Gaels this Friday evening at the slightly later time of 7.30pm. Our Erne Cup teams are away to Teemore and home to Newtownbutler on Saturday evening.

Many club members and supporters are currently preparing carefully for the Five County Charity Cycle, which takes place on Sunday May 19th. There are two events, 50km and 120 km, and monies raised will go towards the Children's Kidney Fund NI.
