Harps Notes 27th August 2019

posted 27 Aug 2019, 03:15 by Derrygonnelly Harps

The Harps Lotto jackpot, now £4400, was not won on Sunday night. The numbers were 14, 17, 27 & 29. £20 each went to Kevin Leonard, Derrygonnelly, Kathleen Brennan, Kinawley, and Teresa O’Reilly, Enniskillen. We are in The Linnett Inn on Sunday night, with Peter Jones, Gerry Gallagher, and Mary on duty.

Well done to our Under 17s on a very good league win against Enniskillen Gaels last Wednesday night. They had a very hardworking performance, and no shortage of skilful play in an entertaining final. Congratulations to all concerned. They are scheduled to play Ederney in the championship on Wednesday evening. Our Under 13s have a big week, with three games as their league comes to an end. They play Irvinestown at home on Thursday evening at 7pm, then St Pats at home next Tuesday evening. Good luck lads.

Drama aplenty in Brewster Park last Saturday night as the Harps drew in the championship against Belnaleck. The replay is on Saturday evening at 7pm in Brewster Park. Good luck to the lads in this game.

Our Ladies are also out in the championship this Saturday against Newtownbutler this Saturday evening at 4pm in Derrylin. All the best Ladies! Congratulations and continued success also to Eimear Smyth and Bronadh Duffy on their All Ireland semi final win last weekend, with Dermott Feely also part of the backroom team. They play Louth in the final.

Our Under 8s and Under 10s were in blitz action at the Hughie Cathcart Memorial Blitz and Trillick Tournament last weekend. Our Under 8s came home with a shield for their efforts, and the Under 10s had four great games too. Thanks to our host clubs Kinawley and Trillick for having us. Thanks also to our coaches for their continued commitment. We are coming into the last few weeks of Sunday Morning Footy for P1 – Under 12 footballers and would love to see a good turnout to finish the season.
