Harps Notes 23rd September 2019

Congratulations to our Senior squad and their management team, as the group gave our club another great day in Brewster Park and we retained the Senior championship for 2019. In tough conditions, we put together a bit of control for the final quarter in particular to take the result against a very competitive and worthy opponent. Well done to everyone involved. This Sunday sees the squad out in the league semi-final against Enniskillen Gaels at Kinawley and good luck to them in that match.

Our Under 17s lost out in a good contest against the Gaels in their curtainraiser championship final. They are obviously disappointed, but can look back on a season with a lot of good performances and a league title. Congratulations to the Gaels. Thank you to the lads and their managers for their efforts. Our Under 13s had a very good win against Lisnaskea in another well contested championship match last Saturday. A good first half against the wind saw them in a position to push at it in the second half and they won by five points in the end.

Congratulations to our Minor girls, who secured the Division Two league with a win on Tuesday night in the final against Ederney. The girls displayed a lot of good footballing quality in this game. Next up for them is Aghadrumsee at home in the minor championship at 6.30pm this Wednesday. The u13 girls travelled to Belleek on Monday evening losing out to the hosts. Next up for them is a blitz this Saturday – details still to be confirmed. Our Senior ladies had a solid win over Brookeborough in the senior league on Sunday. Their next game is away to Newtownbutler on 6th October.

Thanks to everyone who helped out with the hosting of the Ladies Senior and Intermediate Finals last Saturday.

The results of the Lotto draw from Monday September 23rd will be published in next week’s notes.
