Harps Notes 20th May 2019

posted 20 May 2019, 04:33 by Derrygonnelly Harps

The Lotto results from Monday May 20th will be in next week's notes. We are in Doogies this Sunday night, with John and Louise on duty with Mary.

The busy games schedule continues this week, with our Juniors at home to St Pats at 7.30pm on Wednesday evening. Our Junior B squad are down to travel to Aghadrumsee on Thursday evening. Also on Thursday evening our Under 15s, who have made their league final, are away to Devenish. Our Seniors are at home to Enniskilen Gaels this Saturday evening at 7.30pm.  Our Under 10s have played two of their tournament games now as well and are making great progress through matches.

There will be a registration and information meeting on Thu 23 May @ 8.30pm in the clubhouse, for anyone interested in participating in G4MO this year. Gaelic 4 Mothers and Others is open to women aged 25 and over (you don't have to be a mother!) and is a brilliant and fun way to mix with women and do some exercise at the same time. No football experience is needed! We are hoping for good numbers at the meeting as we make plans for the year and for the future of G4MO in the club. So please come if you can! If any coaches are willing to help out this year, we would love you to come to the meeting also or please contact Éadaoin Love on 07799148196 or via club messenger.

Many congratulations to our Under 16 girls, who managed to come out on top in the Division 2 final against Belcoo last Friday evening. This was a very exciting game, as two evenly matched teams went end to end and competed really well against each other. Thank you very much to everyone who has helped out with the management of this group of players. Our Under 14s take centre stage now as their league starts, although the Under 16 championship is still to be played as well. Our senior Ladies had a great result against Newtownbutler on Sunday evening as well, showing great skill and attitude to pick up valuable league points.

Congratulations also to all of the Harps members who either completed or helped out with the Five County Tour on Sunday. There were doubtless a few tired bodies on Monday morning, but it was great to see such a turnout, and the event proved very successful for the Kidney Fund NI, so well done to everyone involved.
