Harps Notes 17th December 2018

The Lotto jackpot, now £10,000, was not won on Sunday night. The numbers were 3, 4, 12 and 24. Christmas prizes of £50 each went to Orla Broomhead, Monea, Eamon Leonard, Monea, Oliver Cosgrove, Ballyconnell, Martin Ferguson, Tully, Marie Ferguson, Tully and Tadgh and Fiadh Jones, Blackslee. The two £50 promoters prizes went to Mary Cox and Kevin Foy. We are in Old Pals this Sunday night, with Gavin Duffy and John Murphy on duty with Mary.

Hard luck to our Under 21 squad who lost out to Enniskillen Gaels in the competition final on Sunday. Our lads put in a decent effort but met a fine opponent on the day, very worthy Fermanagh representatives going forward. Thanks very much to Paul Greene, Michael Glynn, Peter Jones and Dermott Feely for their work with the group.

Sunday’s final wrapped up another hectic season for our club but there is still one last reference point, with our Harps Celebration Dinner Dance on January 12th, honouring our successes in the Ladies Intermediate Championship & League plus our Men’s Senior Championship. Music is by Cufflinks, and tickets are available from Sean Flanagan, Ger Greene, Brendan Rasdale, Francis Rasdale, Patricia Brennan, Louise Dundas, Peter Jones, Donal Corrigan, John McGovern, Gavin Duffy and Nicola Cassidy. The perfect Christmas gift, surely!!

Finally, thank you to everyone who helped out as we hosted the Dr McKenna Cup match between Jordanstown and Fermanagh on Saturday. We had a great squad of stewards, and our pitch held up excellently as well.
