Harps Notes 11th September 2017

posted 11 Sep 2017, 06:57 by Derrygonnelly Harps

The £10,000 Harps Lotto jackpot was not won on Sunday night. The numbers were 2, 19, 28 and 29. £20 each went to Eamon McHugh, Boho, The McGovern Family, Lisdoodan, and Aideen O'Dare, Derrygonnelly. We are in Old Pals this Sunday night, with Mary, Garry and the Kevins on duty.

The club’s September monthly meeting takes place this Thursday night at 9pm sharp.

The Harps played out an exciting draw against Roslea last Friday night in the championship semi-final. All the best to our senior squad and management in the replay, which we think will be this Friday night again in Brewster Park.

All the best to everyone involved with Churchill Ladies’ Running Group, who are staging their annual Derrygonnelly 5k & 10k this Saturday. Of course this is also the marker that everyone has been training towards in the Harps’ annual Couch to 5K programme. We are delighted that so many people have trained for this and enjoyed the activities. Good luck on Saturday!

Our Under 12s had to produce a super third quarter effort to finally move away from Tempo last weekend and claim a win. They are up against Kinawley away this Saturday. These two teams produced a fantastic match a month and a half ago, so this should be very enjoyable for spectators. Our Under 16 boys are also away to Kinawley this Thursday evening.

At the moment, it seems that there is a chance the much delayed girls Under 16 final against Belnaleck will be held this weekend. Please check our online output for fuller details on this.

This Sunday sees the conclusion of Sunday Morning Footy for 2017. We commence as usual at 11.15 and finish at 12.30. Don’t forget to bring your Lotto ticket with you!
